Although I still have to finalize the chronicles of my Legoland trip, something I expect to do very soon, I did want to show off some of the scenery I have encountered so far in my trip out East. And so, folks, I give you…Virginia Beach.

There’s a boardwalk. I’m under it. The only thing that’s missing is a blanket and my baby

It’s not the beach, but I took this picture on the same day. In my town, we don’t have train tracks. I don’t get the opportunity to walk along the tracks, let alone stand in the middle of them with a train bearing down on me. Needless to say, it was quite thrilling.
I’ll post more later.

I love the beach pictures. I am so jealous. We don’t have ocean where I live, (lol) but we live less than a mile from the train tracks. I could and have walked there. In fact we have a path that goes under the tracks it is really cool.

I meant to say a paved, walking path.

Oh how I love Virginia….We have so much to offer. Those Blue Ridge Mountains are beautiful. They turn a deep purple as they orange sun sets down low behind them. Skyline Drive and the Blule Ridge parkway/ Natural Brdige..Natural Chimneys….all the national forests and Historic Battle fields. Oh how I love this state.
I hope you continue to enjoy it.

I have been thinking about making Virginia Beach one of my stops this summer when we take a road trip. Looks nice. If there is any reason I should avoid it, let me know.
We have tracks right behind our house. Most of the time we don’t even notice we live near them. There is a road and another line of houses between us and it, but in my second story bedroom at four in the morning, overzealous engineers who blow the horn eight times are sooooo annoying.
