Happy Fourth of July, everyone!
As per the request of our dad, this week’s HNT is patriotic in nature. And so, I show you my true colors. Now, I as much as I’d like to say that by “true colors” I mean “I’m as patriotic as Rush Limbaugh in red, white, and blue spandex”, I can’t. I’m saying that I literally get to show my true colors. See, I am not really from this planet (gasp!). I come from a planet called “Naboonibnubtaktak” and everyone there has various different skin pigmentations that run the color gamut of the rainbow and even into some parts of the infrared spectrum. My colors just happen to be red, white, and blue. So it is on this day, every year, that I get to shed my layers of concealing cream and just be me. All you silly humans think that I’m just very patriotic, when I’m really just showing off my superior skin tones.
Okay, seriousness aside, let’s just say that this was a fun little theme for me to work with. But I have to admit that I totally let it sneak up on me. I’ve been working on this concept all week, but only in my mind. I nearly forgot today was HNT-eve, mainly because I didn’t go to work the last two days and so today felt like Monday. Just kind of…sort of…well…forgot that tomorrow was HNT, you know? So it’s not my best work, but it still fulfills the spirit of HNT. Have a happy one, folks? That blue button in my sidebar that says HNT on it takes you to a place that ’splains everything.

Personally I prefered the rejected melons mate…. but hey a blue head and red arms can’t be misconstrued by everyone. HHNT

I’m with Karen on this one..it is kind of a freaky picture.
We made a one-time comeback to HNT this week because we’re feeling quite patriotic as well.
