On one of my many excursions to the Caribbean, which I go to about every other week (in my mind), I found this little island out in the middle of no where. I set up my fully automatic camera/tripod combination to take a self-portrait on the beach. Things are going nicely, when all of a sudden, the tripod changes position and pans the camera slightly to the left. It's programmed to center itself automatically on the coolest thing in the shot, which is normally me. I'm somewhat stunned at this, because as far as I knew, the only cool thing on the entire island (besides me) was this huge pirate ship that had managed to beach itself just down the way a bit. But that wasn't in this particular shot, so the camera shouldn't have been moving. And yet, it was.
I scarcely had anough time to even react, though, when this bozo charges right past me dressed in some weird get up, flailing his arms around as if he were being chased by a herd of cannibals. The camera snapped the picture just before the guy gets past it. It's like I'm not even there, to him, you know? Of course, the batteries died immediately after that, so the whole shot is ruined and I can't take another. I tell you, some people are so rude.
The good news, though, is that I'm wearing that nifty SchadeBLOG shirt, again. And I'm pretty positive that all of your are wondering how you can get one yourself.
