Star Wars Post of the Day

September 13th, 2006 · 2 Comments

Star Wars DVDYesterday I purchased the DVD collection you see at the left.  Yes, it was necessary.  How could it not be?  I mean, these may not have anything as far as new content, as is the habbit of Lucas to do when he puts out the Star Wars movies for consumer consumption.  But these have the original cinema releases in their original presentations.  This is important to understand.  This means no special edition additions, no anamorphic presentation, no 5.1 surround sound (at least for the first one) because those technologies didn't exist when they were released.

For some reason, many people are angry that their old Star Wars movies aren't coming with new stuff, even though everyone always seemed to get upset whenever Lucas did put in new stuff.

Oh well, that's not the point of this post.  The point is to reach out to you fellow Star Wars buffs who were around when Star Wars was first released in 1977.  I have a question.

Did Luke Skywalker ever close his eyes just prior to firing the death blow to the Death Star?

I seem to remember this happening.  But I could be wrong.  Can anyone help me out?

So you spent $60 on 30 year old movies that you have seen 100+ times even though you owe me $10. Then, even tough you just bought the movies, you are going to ask people who do not own them about the content? 100+ hits in a day sure has gone to your head.

No he doesn’t. He bobs his head, but he never closes his eyes as far as I remember.
