Miss Adventure

September 22nd, 2006 · 6 Comments

This morning, when I woke up, I was pretty sure that my brain was not comprised of gnat spittle.  After the events of today, though, I'm not so certain.  What happened, you ask?  You mean, aside from the realization that Gnat Spittle would be a good name for a rock band?  What happened was, we bought a new dog.

Not just any dog.

We bought a puppy.

And not just any puppy, either.

She's a Great Dane.

I'm not sure exactly what possessed us to buy this little girl, but it happened.

I don't know.  Maybe you can look at these photos and tell me what happened?   Her name is Miss Adventure.  We call her that for the simple fact that of the three remaining pups, she was the one who was the most curious and doing the most exploring.  She appeared to be more adventurous than her siblings, and she started bonding with us before the others.  The others were content to just sleep.

So that's the story of what happened today.  We got a new dog as a companion to Wisp the Wonder-dog, and so far Wisp hasn't tried to kill or eat the little gal.  Actually, she's been somewhat indifferent.  When we got home, she was far more interested in us than the puppy.  There was one point, after about 15 minutes, where Wisp seemed to suddenly realize that the little thing we had was, in reality, another dog but she still didn't seem to mind.  So hopefully, this is a good sign.

Miss Adventure 1

Little Missy was very hungry when we got home.  So, apparently, was Bear.

Miss Adventure 2

When we first got Miss Adventure, we saw she had hundreds of little black bugs (fleas, most likely) on her body.  So we gave her a bath first thing when we got home.  This is just after that bath and a good rubbing down with some anti-flea stuff.

Was your daughter really eating the dog food. Please say no. Even if she was, please say no. What will you call the dog for short? Or will you call her Miss Adventure?

AWWWWWWWW SHE’S PRECIOUS!!!! I LOVE HER!!!

Get the book “Dr. Pitcairn’s Guide to Natural Health for Dogs and Cats” My puppy was really sick when I got him and I followed the advice in the book and he is perfectly healthy now. It’s for all dogs and cats not just sick ones.

    Kisses to Miss Adventure!!!

Editor’s Note: It’s particularly appropriate that this guy - who’s name is the combination of two dog breed names - is a veterinarian.
