As you can see in this never-before-seen, very rare production still, I was the original Dark Helmet. Unfortunately, scheduling conflicts with my other project prevented me from fulfilling my duties in this role. My understudy, Mr. Moranis, was ultimately called in. I do say he did a fine job, especially with the whole "action figures" sequence. But I still think I made the better Dark Helmet. Especially when I said the line, "I see you have the ring. And your Schwartz is as big as mine. Now let's see how well you handle it."
Initially I was going to show you an original marketing print showing me as Daisy Duke's love interest, but I am not quite finished…um…restoring it. Maybe next week.
