Merry HNT - Part 1: The Tree

December 14th, 2006 · 11 Comments

Well, it's that time of year, again.  The time where we pull out the fake trees, rig up the lights on the house, and start asking all of the rich people we know for really cool presents .  As was requested by Os himself , for this week's theme I have included my winsome Christmas tree.  Here I am putting the finishing touches on one of the lights.  To be honest, it took me a week to get the lights on.  We put the tree up last Tuesday.  As you can see, that was quite a challenge in and of itself.  I finally got the lights on tonight.

Now, I know what you're thinking.   You're thinking "Gee, Schadeboy, you do realize that The Winsome Christmas Trees would be a good name for a rock band, right?"  Of course I do.  But what I really wanted to mention was that, despite what it looks like, I'm not actually very small.  Although there have been several instances in my life where I have been shrunk to the size of Kevin Federline's music career, this is not the case here.  The tree is actually enormous!  We're talking several hundred stories tall, here.  The string of lights alone weighs 516 tons!  My neighbors aren't too happy.  Actually, my entire home town isn't too happy.  But I will have my tree on Google Earth, and you know, to make an omelet you have to break a few eggs.

Tomorrow, I get to put on the ornaments!

Merry HNT, everyone!

As the owner of the Controllable Christmas Lights for Celiac Disease that are linked above, thought I’d chime in here that the electricity costs aren’t as bad as you think - about $3/day … yes, THREE - read more here where it talks about how I use Wind Power for it plus even do Carbon Offsets - Al Gore would be proud! ;-)
