According to this article, men spend more on women on Valentine's Day than women do on men. What they don't say is that while us guys may be spending more, we're not exactly buying very good gifts. Take for instance my friend Norbert Smogtoasten, who's philosophy on gift giving is "Give them what you would want to receive." Last year, he gave his wife a brand new table saw.
