It’s been so long since my last post. But I can’t think too much about that at the moment. I have to relay a story that happened here in my little town.
We here in Sunny Sierra Vista, AZ don’t get a lot of media coverage. We’re a small little community of just over 40K, and basically nobody really cares about us because a) we don’t have a cool city motto and b) we don’t have a whole lot of bad things happening down here. However, today, a news organization from Tucson, AZ - a mere 75 miles away and much bigger than us - decided to do their entire live at 5, 6, and 10 broadcasts from our sweet haven. We get very excited when stuff like this happens.
We got everyone out there we that could think of to represent our little berg; Police, Fire, some guy dressed up in a huge balloon-like fireman costume (I am not making that up). Even the marching band from the local high school is there. The first broadcast is going on right now, and WHAT does the Marching Band decide to play? Something modern? Something a little more hip, and up beat? Not OUR high school marching band. Nope, that ain’t good enough! They picked…
COPACABANA!
I am so embarrassed right now I can’t think straight.

Copacabana? That IS embarrassing. Our town is real small too. But we probably wouldn’t do anything, because I SWEAR, half the people are stoners. Pretty pathetic!

…What the heck is Copacabana? Never heard of it…perhaps I’ll look it up on youtube or something when I get home (the school computer I’m on blocks that website–you’re blog is my safe haven from BOREDOM right now!) and then see if I like it…lol, just kidding! But my friend who lives in the middle of nowhere (and is in the marching band) will probably recognize the tune…lol, again, lol
