I mean, it’s not like a man’s manly region is easily reached by a knife.

As a child, I never really understood how important our soldiers are to our country. I always knew that there was something about them that was to be honored and that they served a key roll in providing me with the ability to ride my bicycle in peace, and play with my friends without fear, and basically live my life in total blissful ignorance of what the rest of the world had to face. But I never really truly understood the kind of sacrifices these valiant men and women make to allow me to pursue my dreams.

To be honest, it’s a life that I could never be a part of, myself. As much as I like to think that I’d make a good soldier, I just don’t think I’m cut out for military life. But I honor those who are. Now that I’m an adult and working on an Army post and surrounded by people who did/do serve our country, I am far more aware of the things that these men and women do for us. The incredible sacrifices that these people make are beyond my imagination. The time away from their families, and the hardships that many of them have to endure, just so I can continue to sit here on my rump and write this blog entry. Our soldiers, especially those deployed to the front lines, are out there worrying about whether or not they will come home and see their spouses and children again. Sometimes it makes my concerns seem so…trivial. I am forever grateful for the service they have put in for us. Thank you to all who serve.

Today is POW/MIA Remembrance Day. And so I take this time to offer my own small tribute to those who served and never came home. You are noble and valiant people. I, for one, will never forget.

I find this to be completely irrelevant. I think this thing is only counting the use of swearing, not actual content. Because, darn it if I don’t say some of the funniest adult-related stuff. Like pig smegma!

The beer has gone to their heads over there.

I imagine the conversation during this incident went something along these lines:

Robber: Everyone get down on the floor, now!

Class: “Boot to the head!”  THUNK!

Robber:  Oh!  You booted me in the head!

Class: “Boot to the head!”  THUNK!  THUNK!  THUNK!  THUNK!  THUNK!  THUNK!

My iPod Video is now officially obsolete.

I knew this would happen, so I’m not surprised. But I thought I had at least a year before it would happen. I bought my first iPod back in November, and another one for my wife for Christmas. Now what am I supposed to do? “I want one” is not a good enough reason to give my wife for spending $400.00 on a music player. What I’d like to know, though, is what gives with the storage limitations? My iPod cost me $250.00 and included the ability to play video and a 30 GB hard drive, which I have yet to come even remotely close to filling up. The new iPod Touch comes with a paltry 16 GB at most? And costs $150.00 more? I’m not sure I follow this logic.
